United States AI Compliance Statement
This Statement sets out the position of Prodia Systems Ltd ("Prodia") in relation to the United States' patchwork AI compliance landscape. There is currently no comprehensive federal AI statute. Prodia aligns the prodia.dev Service with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF 1.0) and tracks federal executive action and state-level obligations.
1. Federal Guidance
- NIST AI RMF 1.0 and the Generative AI Profile (NIST AI 600-1).
- OMB guidance on federal agency use of AI where customers are federal users.
- Sectoral guidance from the FTC, EEOC, CFPB, FDA and other federal agencies.
2. California
- AI transparency and disclosure requirements, including for AI-generated and synthetic content.
- Rules concerning political and election-related deepfakes.
- Automated decision-making rules under CCPA/CPRA and CPPA regulations.
- Generative AI training-data transparency obligations applicable to providers of covered models.
3. Colorado
The Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act imposes obligations on developers and deployers of high-risk AI systems used in consequential decisions, including risk-management programmes, impact assessments and consumer notifications. Customers using the Service for such decisions are responsible for the corresponding deployer obligations.
4. Texas
Prodia tracks the Texas Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance Act and related guidance issued by Texas state authorities, including transparency, prohibited-use and impact-assessment requirements.
5. Other States
Prodia monitors and, where applicable, aligns with AI legislation in other US states, including New York, Illinois, Utah, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia, covering matters such as automated employment decisions, AI-generated likenesses and consumer disclosures.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for determining which US federal and state AI obligations apply to their specific use case and for implementing the corresponding controls.
