Emerging AI Jurisdictions Statement
This Statement sets out the position of Prodia Systems Ltd ("Prodia") in relation to emerging AI governance regimes outside the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Brazil and India. These jurisdictions are not yet at EU-level prescriptiveness but are moving toward enforceable AI requirements, often informed by EU and OECD principles.
1. United Arab Emirates
Alignment with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, the Charter for the Development and Use of AI, and guidance issued by the AI, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office. Personal data is processed consistently with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
2. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Alignment with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) AI Ethics Principles, the Generative AI Guidelines and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
3. Singapore
- Model AI Governance Framework and the Model AI Governance Framework for Generative AI issued by IMDA and the AI Verify Foundation.
- AI Verify testing framework principles, including transparency, robustness and accountability.
- Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and PDPC advisory guidelines on AI.
4. Australia
Alignment with the Australian Government's AI Ethics Principles, the proposals for mandatory guardrails for AI in high-risk settings, and the Privacy Act 1988 as amended.
5. New Zealand
Alignment with the Algorithm Charter for Aotearoa New Zealand and the Privacy Act 2020.
6. Israel
Alignment with the Israeli Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology "Principles of Policy, Regulation and Ethics in AI" and the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 as amended.
7. Switzerland
Alignment with the Federal Council's approach to AI regulation, including accession to the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law (CETS No. 225), and the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for determining which jurisdiction-specific AI obligations apply to their use of the Service and for implementing the corresponding controls.
