United Kingdom AI Governance Statement
This Statement sets out the position of Prodia Systems Ltd ("Prodia") in relation to the United Kingdom's sector-led approach to artificial intelligence, as described in the UK Government's white paper "A pro-innovation approach to AI regulation" and subsequent guidance issued by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the AI Safety Institute.
1. Cross-Sectoral Principles
The prodia.dev Service is designed and operated consistently with the five UK cross-sectoral AI principles:
- safety, security and robustness;
- appropriate transparency and explainability;
- fairness;
- accountability and governance;
- contestability and redress.
2. Data Protection
Personal data of UK data subjects is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, and consistently with ICO guidance on AI and data protection.
3. Foundation Models & Safety
Where the Service incorporates foundation models supplied by third parties, Prodia selects providers that engage constructively with UK safety initiatives, including the AI Safety Institute's evaluation programmes where applicable.
4. Competition
Prodia operates the Service consistently with the principles set out in the CMA's report on AI foundation models, including in relation to access, choice and interoperability.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for sector-specific AI obligations applicable to them (for example FCA, MHRA, Ofcom or Ofqual requirements) and for any UK-specific deployer responsibilities arising from their use of the Service.
