Canada AI Governance Statement
This Statement sets out the position of Prodia Systems Ltd ("Prodia") in relation to Canada's evolving AI governance regime. While the federal Artificial Intelligence and Data Act ("AIDA") proposed under Bill C-27 was not enacted in its original form, Prodia tracks the expected replacement legislation and aligns the prodia.dev Service with the Government of Canada's Voluntary Code of Conduct on the Responsible Development and Management of Advanced Generative AI Systems and the Directive on Automated Decision-Making.

- Safety โ pre- and post-deployment testing for foreseeable harms.
- Fairness and equity โ measures to identify and mitigate bias.
- Transparency โ disclosure that users are interacting with AI and that content is AI-generated.
- Human oversight and monitoring โ natural persons can supervise and intervene.
- Validity and robustness โ testing for performance and resilience.
2. Data Protection
Personal data of Canadian individuals is processed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec's Law 25.
3. Public-Sector Use
Customers deploying the Service in connection with automated decision-making by federal institutions are responsible for compliance with the Treasury Board Directive on Automated Decision-Making, including algorithmic impact assessments.
